Connection failures do not all share the same cause. A phone that connects while a PC fails, a VPN that breaks after changing Wi-Fi, and a tunnel that connects with no internet all point to different checks. Work in this order: network, version, permissions, route, source.
Quick Triage
- If normal webpages fail too, fix the base network first.
- If only one device fails, check permissions, security software, or old configuration.
- If login shows authentication failed, use the authentication guide.
- If it says connected but pages do not load, use the connected but no internet guide.
- If you see 101, 1001, or server not responding, use the error-code guide.
Troubleshooting Steps
Check the base network
Disconnect the VPN and open a normal webpage or search engine. If that fails, restart your router, switch to mobile data, or fix the ISP connection before troubleshooting the VPN.
Update to the current version
An old app may no longer match current server or OS requirements. Use the download page to verify the current source instead of reinstalling an old mirrored file.
Check permissions and security tools
On Windows, check firewall and antivirus rules. On iOS, confirm the VPN configuration permission. On Android, review battery optimization and background restrictions. Temporarily allow the app for testing, but do not leave protection disabled.
Switch network and route
Try mobile data versus Wi-Fi, then try another available route in the app. Route availability changes; do not treat any node, speed, or platform access as guaranteed.
Verify installation source
If the issue appeared after a phone migration, OS update, or long period without updates, uninstall the old app and reinstall only after checking the current download page.
Handle crashes and server-not-responding prompts
If the app crashes on launch, restart the device, check OS version and storage, then verify the installer source. For server-not-responding prompts, record the code and use the error-code guide.
